Accept and Proceed is a London design agency best known for incorporating data into its projects in unusual ways.[1] [2] Accept and Proceed was founded in May 2006 by David Johnston [3] and specialises in print,[4] product design,[5][6] and producing data-driven artworks.[7] [8]

The Dark & Light Calendar

Since 2008, Accept and Proceed have produced an annual Light & Dark calendar which visually represents how much light London will see over the coming year using a different data mapping technique for every new edition.[9]

Data Print for Rapha

In November 2014, sportswear brand Rapha worked with Accept and Proceed to create Data Print,[10] a design for their Pro Team clothing collection. Data Print's design was based on data gathered from a single Team Sky cyclist as they embarked on a Grand Tour. The chevron design visually illustrated the length of the rider's journey, along with lines that represent the rider's altitude, physical pressure and stress score at each stage of the tour. The cyclist Peter Kennaugh was chosen as the face of the range.[11]

Spectra

As part of a collaboration with digital art studio, Field, Accept and Proceed created Spectra, a moving digital scuplture that illustrated the effect of meteor collisions on the moon. Composed of a series of reflective gold triangles that were suspended in mid air to mimic the airless quality of the lunar surface, Spectra undulated in response to a datafeed collated by Accept and Proceed.[7] This project was exhibited as part of the 2014 London Design Festival[12]
