History[edit]

Founded in Sept. 1999 by Shaun and Nathan Brown, the Liberty Lake Splash was created as a free community newspaper for the residents of Liberty Lake, Washington.[1]

As of 2004, the Splash had a circulation of about 4,600, with 3,600 free copies delivered to homes in Liberty Lake, and the other 1,000 delivered to businesses for distribution.[1]

Brown sold the Splash to editor Josh Johnson's Peridot Publishing in 2004.[2]

In 2016, the Splash and the Current, another monthly publication based in Liberty Lake, was sold to Ben Wick. [2]
