LIFE Theological Seminary, Nigeria LIFE Theological Seminary, Ikorodu, Lagos, Nigeria (formerly LIFE Bible College) was established in 1955 with its initials: L.I.F.E representing Lighthouse of International Foursquare Evangelism. It was founded in Nigeria by the Rev. & Rev. Mrs. Harold Curtis, missionaries of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel with Headquarters in Los Angeles, California. Having been converted, trained, and accredited as ministers of the gospel in the revival associated with the ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson, the founder of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, the Curtises resolved to extend the spreading of the gospel and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to Nigeria and beyond. The objective was for the school to be a centre for the practical development of Christian workers and leaders. Since the inception, over 2,000 students from different Christian denominations and countries in the continent of Africa have graduated with Certificate, Diploma and Bachelors degrees in different fields of Theology offered by this Seminary. The Seminary is built on the legacy of the bible based ministry of Aimee Semple McPherson through the sacrificial contributions of various missionaries and other contributors who have given time; efforts and finances in making this Seminary become forefront in Christian leadership development in Africa. LIFE Theological Seminary is in an interdenominational institution sponsored by the Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria.
