This event has been in line with popular events conducted in IITs.

History[edit]

A group of few third year students planned this event in October 2004, created a framework for the whole event and brought its first edition in April 2005 which bagged around 300 participants from various parts of the country. Prof. Vishwanathan Mohan, a young faculty working with SGGS then, lead this bunch enthusiastic students from first to third year. The Idea of Pragyaa had to face a lot of difficulties before it could come to reality. but nonetheless it was an effort to give platform to young, undiscovered talent. Since then Pragyaa has found a major place in institutional agenda and with continued improvisations, PRAGYAA has turned into a mega event. Every year it has grown to accommodate more events and more participants.
