PIER STAGNO

Pier has over ten years of experience in the research, medical devices and pharmaceutical areas. He holds a BSc degree in Medical Technology from the University of Carabobo received in 2001, and was awarded with an Honor’s Mention as Nobel researcher for his research in obesity and oxidative stress that same year. He is an active member of the Medical Technology College of Venezuela in 2002 and has worked in two different hospitals in Venezuela until 2003, before moving to the scientific research field. Pier has graduated as MSc in Biochemistry in 2007 from IVIC, and received the Dean’s scholarship during his studies. Most of his research work was related to the development of new chimeric molecules through molecular biology techniques and its chemical modification. In 2011, Pier became a member of the Canadian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Science. In 2006 Pier moved to the medical devices and pharmaceutical industry where he started his career as an Application specialist for F. Hoffmann-La Roche, delivering support to clients in equipment installation, training, and scientific advisory for several technologic platforms, as well as supporting the selling process. His achievements and team-oriented work got him a promotion in 2009 to a managerial position, being at the head of a new project called Personalized Healthcare Management. From 2009 to 2011 he brought support to the oncology field as he started four new diagnostic projects in the molecular and pathology fields, helping more than 2000 patients to have and accurate diagnostic in order to receive the best suitable treatment for their condition. In the last 5 years, Pier has focused all his educational efforts to get trained in the current standards of customer service, CRM and service management. Using these skills, Pier wants to integrate to a Canadian Pharmaceuticals or Diagnostic company and be part of a highly motivated team where his experience and ideas could add value to the organization.
