Jennifer Delgado

Jennifer Delgado is a meteorologist and weather anchor for CNN International. She is based in CNN's world headquarters in Atlanta.

Personal History[edit]

Jennifer was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA and now resides in Atlanta, Georgia. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Her parents are Latino/African American.

Television Career[edit]

Jennifer began her television career at KPLR in St. Louis, Missouri, working as an associate producer and weather anchor, she was also employed as the morning weather anchor for KRCG in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Prior to joining CNN in October of 2008, Jennifer worked at WTVR in Richmond, Virginia, where she served as the meteorologist for their morning and noon programs for more than two years. At WTVR Jennifer gained experience on pulse-doppler, microwave, and radar systems including Baron Doppler radar, Baron FastTrac, Skytracker and WSI TRuview.

Since joining CNN International Jennifer has worked closely with many of the most notable network news anchors today, including Charles Hodson, Don Riddell, and Zain Verjee ( based in London ) Kristie Lu Stout, Andrew Stevens, and Anjali Rao ( based in Hong Kong ) together with CNN reporters sent to weather stories across Asia/Europe.

Education[edit]

Jennifer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Journalism from Webster University in St. Louis and received a Certificate of Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. She is a member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS), the National Weather Association (NWA), the National Association of Hispanic Journalists (NAHJ), and the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ).

CNN International[edit]

The main anchors that interact with Jennifer are Charles Hodson, Don Riddell and Zain Verjee ( based in London ) Kristie Lu Stout, Anjali Rao, and Andrew Stevens ( based in Hong Kong ) together with CNN reporters based across the globe.

CNN International is available in most of the world, distributed via satellite, cable, IPTV and DTT. Its international reach is more than 200 million households and hotel rooms in over 200 countries. For most viewers it is free-to-air, however some pay TV companies include it in their pay TV bouquets, or issue a virtual channel to the FTA version on the same satellite. In addition, it is free to watch online, when available, via CNN's webpage.
