History[edit]

Foundation (2001-2002)[edit]

The band was unofficially formed in Fulton, Missouri on the steps of Dulany Auditorium in 2001 by Joseph Ronin and Edward Nicholas, a method to escape their studies at William Woods University. After graduation and settling on the name "The Daughters of Bristol" in 2002, the group was officially launched. Their name is a reference to Bristol, England and the female gender's ability to produce offspring. Fully acknowledging that many of their musical influences and reasons for existence derive solely from the United Kingdom and such information being passed down by previous generations.

St. Louis, MO era (2002 - 2005)[edit]

The group become heavily immersed in the St. Louis and Columbia, Missouri music scene, playing shows regularly throughout the state, as well as recruiting a few like minds to aide in live performances.

Seattle, WA era (2005 - Current)[edit]

In the summer of 2005, the band relocated to the Pacific Northwest, due to Seattle's and Portland's thriving music scene. Since moving, the band has continued to actively play live shows and release studio recordings. In the summer of 2009, Aaron Brown joined the band full time.
