Casa das Artes de Laranjeiras, mostly known as CAL, is a training center for professionals in various sectors of the performing arts, located in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. [1]

It was founded in 1982, in Rio de Janeiro, by Eric Nielsen and Gustavo Ariani, with the collaboration of a group of theater artists - among the, Sérgio Britto, GlorinhaBeuttenmüller e Aderbal Freire-Filho - under the coordination of Yan Michalski.[2] Since then, the school continues faithful to its work philosophy, being currently under the coordination of Hermes Frederico. The theater department for children and teenagers is coordinated by Alice Reis.[3]
