Musical group Ology, was first started in the summer of 1995 in Los Angeles California[1]. The original members of the group were; Dino Carrillo, Eden Feldman, Matthew Ray Brownlie and DJ Damage. Ology would perform their original works for several years out in nightclubs in the Los Angeles area, and most notably performing the first 'Rap' show ever in the San Fernando Valley's 'Horse Shoe Cafe' (no longer in business) in the city of Sherman Oaks. Ology recorded original musical compositions with music producer Mitch Marcoulier out of his home studio in Tarzana, California. The project was shopped around but due to similarities between the groups sounds of then successful recording artist 'The Beastie Boys[2]', record labels passed on the project. Most of all of Ology's founding members decided to part ways in 1999, with Dino Carrillo being the last remaining member of the project.
In 2002 Ology did an about face and retooled their sound of Rap, to a then emerging musical genre called 'Trip-Hop'. Dino Carrillo began producing Ology's new sound and shortly began working with female vocalist 'Beth Curry[3]'. The two collaborated for several years, recording and performing their original compositions throughout the Los Angeles area. They then brought on an additional group member, musician and composer 'Hakeem Holloway'. The three would then produce many new musical recordings which saw a lot of classical string compositions from members of local orchestra's and sit-in musicians. The trio would perform in many of the trendy nightclubs throughout the Los Angeles area. Shortly after, Ology would finally sign a contract with an entertainment law firm that would represent the group for a few of the following years. The group then went on a short hiatus, after lead vocalist Beth Curry, moved on from the group. Shortly thereafter Ology brought on their next lead vocalist in April Caskey. She fronted the group for several years, with one recorded EP release in 2004 called, 'Buried Until Now'. The group would perform throughout the Los Angeles area for several years until the group dissolved in 2007. Dino Carrillo would continue to record and perform under the moniker of Ology, and still continues to do so today.
