Lora Ellis, also known by her YouTube[1] username "LoraandLayton", is an American video blogger on YouTube, and quickly becoming a YouTube celebrity, mainly in the parenting community. Her videos are centered around her and her husband, Layton's two young sons and their adventures as a family. Ellis documents the good, bad and stressful points of being a parent, along with her children's milestones, and how she manages everything she does at such a young age. She also does skit videos and product reviews. The LoraandLayton channel has thousands and thousands of subscribers and their "Perfect Labor and Delivery" video has over 2.5 million views, which led to a two page article about Ellis and her YouTube channel, in American Baby Magazine[2] . They are a young family, beating the odds and "living a real life fairy tale" (as their well known tagline on YouTube says). The couple went on to win an international, Mashable Award in 2009 in the category "Most Inspring to Follow" [3]. “As the winner of the ‘Most Inspiring to Follow’ category in the Open Web Awards, LoraandLayton has been voted among the best of the Web in 2009,” Mashable CEO Pete Cashmore said in a press release[4] . Ellis inspires thousands of people, all around the world, simply by being herself and sharing her life journey with everyone. Her bubbly personality, witty sarcasm, and positive outlook on life, keep her viewers coming back for more.
Personal[edit]
Ellis was born on October 20th, 1988,[5] in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. She is the youngest of four children[6] and has two young sons of her own; Tripp and baby brother, Declan. Ellis said in an interview that she bought her first video camera with babysitting money when she was in the fifth grade and that it's always been a "mini obsession" to document her life[7] . Ellis met her future husband, Layton, when she was just sixteen years old. They were engaged a few months after she turned 17 and married on her 18th Birthday. She had their first son at the age of 20, on December 18th, 2008 and gave birth again at the age of 21, to their second son on September 17th, 2010.[8]
