„JSC OPPA“ (Former “JSC Nova Technology”) – Company that provides services at the financial technologic market of Georgia for up to 350000 daily customers. Activities of the company started in 2007 and currently it owns more than 6500 payment spots throughout Georgia. Company has more than 250 employees. All around Georgia, the regional offices of the company have been opened, where JSC “OPPA” provides the services for its customers.
“JSC OPPA” is the owner of the self-service fast payment terminals, the brand of fast payment devices – “PayBox”.
History of the development[edit]
Company was founded in 2007 under the name “JSC OPPA” (Former “JSC Nova Technology”). The Company offered its customer to use the POS terminals and the Payline, and as a result of the efforts of its only 4 employees, the first self-service fast payment device was placed in Tbilisi – and it had only one provider subscribed – the mobile operator.
2008, a brand “PayBox” was created, the imployees installed themselves the self-service fast payment devices and the Company started to expand its network. “JSC OPPA” (Former “JSC Nova Technology”) opened its first offices in Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Batumi.
2009, the Company increased the quantity of the PayBox devices to 300 units and at the same time, it became an official representative of the banknote recipient CashCode, authorized Service Center, dealer and distributor of the cash recipient devices in Georgia, which was the first serious success of the Company at the international market.
2010, “JSC OPPA” (Former “JSC Nova Technology”) started to sell the self-service fast payment devices throughout Georgia.
2011, through the PayBox devices, company started to develop the advertising direction, which, due to the high coverage and a variety of segmentation, swiftly established its place on the market.
2012, the Company launched the website Paybox.ge and the service of the PayBox self-service fast payment devices was relocated to the web platform, offering to the customers simplified and flexible online payments.
2013, The company increased the quantity of the regional offices and developed the export, namely, first self-service fast payment devices were delivered to Armenia.
2014, due to the success of the online platform PayBox.ge, in order to increase the satisfaction of its customers, the Company created a new means of the payment – IOS and Android applications for the mobile phones.
2015, the Company got actively involved in the corporate service business and started the implementation of the cash registers replacement project. Through installation of the branded terminals fitted to the companies, “JSC OPPA” helped companies in reducing of the expenses for the cash registers and in improvement of the payment services. Within the framework of the mentioned project, the Company started to cooperate with the large Banks existing at the Georgian market.
2016, the Company continued development of its exports and shipped its terminals to Western Africa. At the same time, the Company was processing a new platform, creating the unified system of the data verification, offering to its customers the opportunities to receive new and simplified services.
2017, according to the survey, the Company owned 41% of the market in the field of the non-banking payments and offered to its customers around 850 different types of services by means of about 6500 payment spots.
