Curriculum
[edit]Approximately 900 students attend Springton Lake Middle School where the educational program is designed to provide students with a variety of experiences enabling them to push the limits of their potential and see themselves as valued and responsible members of their school environment. At Springton Lake students are the center of an educational program where the opportunity to succeed exists and is encouraged.
Required and special area courses are conducted during a nine-period day. The curriculum includes instruction in language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, physical education, health, art, practical arts, music, consumer science, tech education and computer application. Students are also scheduled for a world language (French or Spanish) or support services in reading or special education. Accelerated math and grammar are available for those who qualify.
