Insomnia
[edit]Insomnia is a sleep disorder condition. Individuals who suffer from this condition experience trouble falling, or staying asleep. [1] Insomnia can lead an individual to experience mood swings, low energy during the day, irritability, or difficulty concentrating. Individuals can experience two types of insomnia, primary or secondary insomnia. Primary insomnia can be associated individually as a disorder an individual might experience caused by a psychophysiological hyperarousal process. [2] Secondary insomnia, on the other hand, is induced as a symptom of another medical condition, or a side effect from medicine. [3] The condition can be diagnosed by a sleep specialist, and proper treatment can be provided.
