Meaning
If one vehicle pulls ahead of another, it gets in front of it by moving faster
Example
AT&T showed a mean download speed of 34.65 Mbps during the quarter, allowing it to pull ahead of T-Mobile, which scored an average 34.11 Mbps. Verizon was a bit slower at 33.07 Mbps, and Sprint came last with an average 31.21 Mbps. Link

Pull something apart[edit]

Meaning
1. to separate something into pieces ✔
2. to make the relationships between people in a group bad or difficult
3. to carefully examine or criticize something
4. to separate people or animals when they are fighting ✔
5. if something pulls apart, it breaks into pieces when you pull on it ✔
Example
1. Pull the meat apart with two forks. ✔

1. to destroy something or make it stop existing ✔
2. pull down something to earn a particular amount of money
3. to make someone less successful, happy, or healthy

Example
