Nathan Richardson is an American entrepreneur and humanitarian based in New York City. Nathan has led several notable and successful businesses including Yahoo! Finance, Gilt City, TradeIt and ThePointsGuy. He holds a B.S. from Babson College and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.

Career

Nathan began his career as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer based in Senegal. He returned to West Africa as the Country Director for the International Rescue Committee in Liberia.

Yahoo! Finance

Nathan is best known for building, growing and leading Yahoo! Finance into the number-one online finance and business destination, he was named most influential by Institutional Investor. Nathan was part of the original team at DotBank prior to its sale to Yahoo.  Other awards during his tenure at Yahoo! Include a prestigious Webby Award and Time Magazine “Best Websites” 

Dow Jones Online

Nathan served as the Head of Dow Jones Online, where he oversaw Marketwatch, WSJ.com and Barrons.com.

ContentNext Media

He was the C.E.O. of ContentNext Media, where he led the sale to Guardian Media/UK .

Gilt Groupe

He built, launched and served as the President of Gilt City, a subsidiary of Gilt Groupe, Inc. Nathan also led the launch of GiltMAN.

WayWire

He co-founded #waywire with Senator Cory Booker.

TradeIt

He co-founded and led TradeIt which was sold to Rostov, Russia based TradingView in 2019.

Red Ventures

Nathan is currently an EVP at Red Ventures working on ThePointsGuy.

Board Work

Personal

Nathan is an outspoken advocate for LGBT rights.  He is a single father of twin children conceived via gestational surrogacy born in 2013. He holds a B.S. from Babson College and an M.B.A. from Georgetown University.
