Which article are you evaluating?[edit]

The Isle of Pines

Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?[edit]

(Briefly explain why you chose it, why it matters, and what your preliminary impression of it was.)

I chose this article since I was considering it as the topic for my project. It is presented as one of the three early modern utopias, but as it is presented last in the collection, I don't feel it gets as much attention as it could (or should). In reflection of that, especially in contrast two the other two pieces of literature present (Thomas More's Utopia and Francis Bacon's New Atlantis) the page for Isle of Pines seems far less developed in both organization and content.

Evaluate the article[edit]

(Compose a detailed evaluation of the article here, considering each of the key aspects listed above. Consider the guiding questions, and check out the examples of what a useful Wikipedia article evaluation looks like.)

The article has a clear Lead Section that concisely defines and summarizes the content. However, the rest of the content is also delivered largely in summary with multiple opinions and analytical interpretations with no citations of any research or outside sources to confirm.

The Talk Page is entirely devoid of any data, other than one entry in 2012.

There is a lot of room for improvement on this page.
