The 2012–2013 Nicholls State Colonels men's basketball team represented Nicholls State University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Colonels, led by sixth year head coach Mitch Collins, played their home games at Stopher Gym as members of the Southland Conference. They finished the season 27–5, 15–1 in Southland play to finish in first place. They were champions of the Southland Tournament, defeating UTSA in the Championship Game, to earn an automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Tournament, where they lost in the second round to BYU.
