[1]SOUTH DOUGLAS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL Is a school located in Douglas County, in a community named Fairplay righ nextdoor the Fairplay Middle School. The new South douglas building was built in 1993. It was the first school in Douglas County to start an After School Program. It is also the first school in Douglas county to use the Reading First Program, using funds to purchase matireals. It has many clubs such as the Performing Arts Club, Junior BETA Club, Bear Tracks Running Club, and The Good News Club. The colors for the school are Red and White and the Masscot is the Bear Cub. The school strives to instill on the young minds of the student all the good morals and understandings a child needs. The pricipal is Mr. Duffy and Vice Pricipal is Mr. Spence. The school has a total of 538 students, and has the general Pre-K thru 5th.
