Richard Pfeffer, Ph.D., is the founder of the Geophysical Fluid Dynamics Institute at Florida State University[1] where he served as its Director for over two decades.
Research[edit]
Pfeffer's research interests include computer and laboratory modeling of weather and climate variability, hurricane dynamics and prediction, probabilistic quantitative preciptiation forecasting (PQPF), data assimilation, and studies of geostrophic turbulence.[2]
