Phantom Chemistry is a 5 member Psychedelic indie rock band from Syracuse NY formed in 2008. They have been influenced by many different genres. Phantom Chemistry consists of Mike Burriesci, Teddy Bratt, John Ocasio, PJ Sweeny and Dillon Cook. The members from this group are all from the City of Syracuse and grew up together.

Phantom Chemistry formed in 2008 in when a group of friends experimented with different musical sounds, styles and genres in the basement recording studio of Mike Burriesci's house where they began recording their debut album "We're Not There". At the time Burriesci, Ocasio, and Bratt took turns playing Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Programming Electronic drums for the album.

In 2009 the album was complete and Dillon Cook and Pj Sweeney joined the band to fill out the live sound. Pj Sweeny created a musical bond between Phantom Chemistry and his other local band Lee Terrace. The two bands have appeared at the Westcott's concert event The Januanry Jam performing together for multiple years.

Phantom Chemistry was nominated in 2010 for a SAMMY (Syracuse Area Music Awards) for Best Other Recording Style.

By 2012 they independently released 2 full length albums, 2 EP’s, a music video, and an ambient instrumental album.

Phantom Chemistry has played at multiple different local venues in Syracuse, New York such as The Westcott, The Fusion Room, The Lost Horizon, and Funk N Waffles. This group actively searches for new venues to perform at.
