From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

WC Signal Tower at Waldwick, New Jersey is a signal tower once used by the Erie Railroad and Erie-Lackawanna Railroad to help divert trains terminating at Waldwick Station into nearby Waldwick Yard. The tower was constructed in 1890 by the Erie's predecessor, the New York and Erie Railroad and remained in use until the 1986, when New Jersey Transit automated the interlocking performed by the tower. The tower, already in derelict condition, was restored in 2004 by locals and in 2009, was introduced as a new museum.
