Buffalo (also known as Buffalo-Exchange Street) was the station for the Erie Railroad in downtown Buffalo, New York. Located at the interchange of Exchange Street and Michigan Avenue, the station served as the terminus of the Buffalo and Southwestern Railroad (from Jamestown) and the Buffalo Division (from Hornell). The railroad opened on April 4, 1859 as a branch off the Erie main. The railroad replaced the depot in 1875, using the local Continental Hotel as its terminal for the time being. The station closed on August 5, 1935, with the merger into the terminal with the Lehigh Valley Railroad.
