Scientific accuracy

[edit]

The Expanse was widely praised for its scientific realism[1][2][3] and technical accuracy,[4][5] with executive producer Naren Shankar — a former PhD student in applied engineering — being widely credited for effectively applying his knowledge of physics and engineering.[6][7][8][9] The show's depiction of stealth technology,[10] uncontrolled decompression,[11] the vacuum of space,[12] and spacecraft propulsion[13] were singled out for praise, with other reviewers arguing that the show effectively prepared viewers for future scientific developments.[14]
