Robert Scott Crane (born June 4th, 1975) is an American Actor, Record Producer and Radio Host.

Crane was born in Santa Monica, California to actors Bob Crane and actress Sigrid Valdis. Crane was born on the same day, in the same year and in the same Hospital (Saint John's, Santa Monica, California) as Angelina Jolie.

Crane studied acting at The Stella Adler Conservatory, The Ron Burrus Studio and with The Groundlings.

Crane has starred in many Indie festival films, which include; Time Travelers Anonymous, Alone At Midnight, Greg, Wireless, AKMB, Hell Hole High, CowGrrrls and Brooklyn Heights.

Crane has been featured on Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and Extra. With print articles in Variety, Salon, The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, People Magazine, Rolling Stone, The New York Post and USA Today.

Crane has also appeared as a guest on many radio shows including The Howard Stern Show, Kevin and Bean, Opie and Anthony, The Tom Leykis Show and Loveline.

For 5 years, Crane (along with Jonathan Evison) hosted and was a lead actor on the Peabody Nominated, Nationally Syndicated, scripted comedy radio theater program, "Shaken, Not Stirred." The program was inducted by the BBC into their "Best of International Radio" series.

Crane and Evison also hosted of the daily talk radio show; The Johnny and Scotty Show broadcast on KQBZ 100.7 FM "The Buzz" - Seattle ( Noon - 3PM ).

Crane built the first recording studio in Seattle to be built from the ground up, Soundhouse Recording Studios. Designed by TEC award winning acoustician Chips Davis. The studio's building is dedicated to Crane's childhood friend Andrew Wood of the band Malfunkshun and the band Mother Love Bone. The studio, owned by Crane, is managed by legendary producer Jack Endino.

Crane's career as a music / record producer includes two Grammy nominated projects; the Juno soundtrack (Robert produced five of the soundtracks ten songs) and the first comedy album by David Cross (Sub Pop Records / 2002). The Soundtrack for Juno won the Grammy Award for "Best Soundtrack" (2009). Crane also produced The Saturday Knights EP (2007) and full length album (Mingle, 2009), which features performances by Jack Endino, Chris Ballew, Kim Thayil and Mark Walk.

In 2007, Robert was elected Governor to The Grammy Committee (PNB).

Crane's Soundhouse studios clients include; Dave Matthews, Tom Jones, David Byrne, Brandi Carlile, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Love & Rockets, David Sylvian, Robert Fripp, KMFDM, Ruby, Mark Walk, and Skinny Puppy.

In 2008, Robert left the music business to continue his acting career, and lives in Santa Monica, California.
