From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Love is Free is a movement beginning with a documentary filmed by Drew Daniels in the summer of 2008 where he went homeless in the city of Chicago for 40 days. The documentary, which is about an hour long, accounts the struggles Drew went through as a homeless person sleeping in shelters and parks and eating at soup kitchens. According to the website he is attempting to show an alternative way of life with true love, putting real people to the numbers. Love is Free has done screenings mainly at universities including North Park, Ohio State, Ohio and Wittenberg. A summer bike tour along the west coast (Seattle to San Diego) is being planned for May through June of 2010 to have screenings and events raising awareness and education among people who will be able to give a voice to the homeless.

Drew Daniels from Love is Free is also partnering with Walk4Water in a walk across Africa (Cape Town, South Africa to Cairo, Egypt) to raise money for clean water.
