Two Shell are British electronic music duo from London.
History
[edit]The identities behind the electronic music project are currently unknown to the public. They don’t speak at their live performances and post cryptic messages on their website and social media. Often compared to other UK electronic duos, like Bicep and Overmono, they entered into the electronic music scene in 2019 through Livity Sound Recordings. They quickly gained popularity and started releasing music on their own label: Mainframe Audio. Their two most recent releases, Icons and home were awarded Best New Music, and Best New Track, respectively, by Pitchfork. Their website, shell.tech, allows for downloading many of their unreleased tracks via passwords, adding to the duo’s mystique and underground following.
Live Performances
[edit]It isn’t known whether the persons appearing at their live DJ sets are the same as those behind their original music. In their live DJ sets, the mixes are prerecorded and the duo can be seen pretending to mix live.
