On December 18th 2010 an 18 year old adopted son named Matthew Charles Robertson murdered his mother Susan A. Robertson in cold blood allegedly after using drugs, "possibly L.S.D" says close friend at the scene.^[1] Along with the murder charge, Matthew was served with a warrant for the malicious wounding of his father and his underage friend.

According to a news release from the Spotsylvania Sheriff's Office, Susan Robertson called 911 about 5:40 a.m. The dispatcher heard Susan's voice as she told them that her son was "acting weird" and "walking around with a knife" at their Salem Fields home in Fredericksburg, Virginia^[2].The tapes where played at the arraignment, where Robertson allegedly had his head down the whole time. The deputy who arrived at the scene first met matthew at the front door, his upper body covered in blood. He was combative and unresponsive to questions, and deputies took him into custody.
