Bacon and cabbage is a traditional Irish dish. It made with bacon, cabbage and potatoes. The most of the times the use only the outside leaves of the cabbage, those ones greener and rough. Cabbage and potatoes are mashed together and seasoned with salt and pepper.It's eaten around all the year but is a tradition to eat it on Halloween Day. Some families hide a ring in the mashed potatoes and cabbage.
