Martin Clapson (born May 16, 1963), is a British drummer. His genres includes Jazz, Funk and Pop Rock.

Education[edit]

Martin studied under Bob Armstrong (Roy Castle's drummer) from age 8 to 15 and then under Max Abrams for some four years. Bob' credit include Steve White (Paul Weller), Andrew Small (Kylie Minogue), Alan White (Oasis) and Guy Richmond (Boyzone). Max's credit include The Polices's Stuart Copeland, Simon Phillips, Phil Collins, Jack Parnell and Eric Delaney.

Session Work[edit]

Martin played for several years with Gary Glitter and he played in the live single A Million Love Songs from Take That and in their tour in 1992. In 1994 he performed live in the movie Riff Raff. During his career he performed with several other artists like John Entwistle, Dave Stewart, Jack Bruce, John Lee Hooker, Tori Amos, Suzi Quatro. He recorded the album live at London's Marquee entitled Beyond the Mist with Robin Trower.
