Plot[edit]
Successful in his work but unlucky in love, Eduard arrives at Brussels' European Parliament from Berlin to start both a new job and a new life. Desperately seeking happiness, he has also made another radical decision. This time he wants to find a woman to love, and not a man.
Spanish law student Edurne moves from Sitges in Spain to the European Parliament also to find love and adventure, and to escape her oppressive life at home with a domineering mother.
On their first day in Brussels Eduard and Edurne bump into one another - literally and with great force - each breaking an arm in the process. The attraction they feel is mutual and they begin to uncover, little by little, the happiness that they both crave.
That is until the handsome and moody Richard from Amsterdam comes on the scene to test the depth of their newfound commitment.
In this bittersweet love story, the funny, complex and touching relationship that develops between the three characters is destined to change their lives irrevocably, and forever.

Setting[edit]
The romantic love story &ME takes place against a strange and ritualistic setting. Every month the European Parliament moves from Brussels to its seat in Strasbourg in a convoy of enormous trucks. Many observers view this monthly occurrence as a desperate attempt to maintain the facade of European idealism.

The &ME screenplay is based on the novel "Fremdkörper" by bestseller author Oscar van den Boogaard. His books are sold and translated in The Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, the UK, the US and Canada.
