Paul Potts (1911-1990) was a poet and the author of Dante Called You Beatrice (1960), a memoir of unrequited love. Although born in Canada, he was a longtime resident of London. He is also known for having been a friend of George Orwell. [1][2] Potts's own memoir of Orwell, "Don Quixote on a Bicycle", appeared in The London Magazine in 1957.[3][4]
