Jackson Lee Taylor (born Aug 27, 1970) is an American singer-songwriter active in the country music and Cow punk genres. Jackson Taylor specializes in a old outlaw country sound with his band, which ignites with punk energy. The group takes Southern rock elements and straightforward songwriting to leave a lasting musical impression. Taylor's main cultural constant during this time was the country music his father so treasured, and Taylor grew to love it himself and was soon trying his hand as a musician.[2] Jackson achieved some success with his debut album Humbolt County, receiving mainly positive reviews. Since then his continual release of albums has helped to increase his audiences across America.

Biography[edit]

Taylor was born one of eleven siblings to parents of migrant workers, his life began in Moody, Texas, a small town just north of Austin. By age five, he was playing drums. Between tours, he took piano lessons. He started playing guitar at fourteen and sometimes played in his father's band. Jackson's adolescence was spent bouncing from one migrant labor town to another, finally settling in a small farming town in Washington State. After graduating high school, he moved back to Texas for a while but soon left to try and make his mark in Nashville. There, Jackson found work as a songwriter, but life for Jackson was still a steep uphill climb, and after a couple of tough and frustrating years, Jackson had to face the hard truth that Nashville was not the “home” for which he had spent his whole life searching.1
