Hello, bonjour, salut, privyet, konichiwa, shalom, hola, salve, sala'am, bonjourno, and hi! I'm Sputnik. I noticed that you were new and/or have yet to receive any messages so I just thought I'd pop in to say "hello". We're glad to have you in our community! I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it's so big but we won't bite so Be Bold and get what you know down in microchips! If you do make a mistake, that's fine, we'll assume good faith and just correct you: it'll take a few seconds maximum! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Though we all make goofy mistakes, here is what Wikipedia is not. If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to see the help pages or add a question to the village pump. The Community Portal can also be very useful. If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you. Here are a few links to get you started:

Jovovich

Is there any way that we can have some other picture in the header of the article? It's just that that picture (in my opinion) doesn't really represent the best she's looked... JackO'Lantern 06:41, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Baby Template

Hi, I happened to notice your edit on The Hills Have Eyes (2006 film); you wrote reverted "wrong edits". The edits by User:86.141.136.42 do count as vandalism, so if you see edits like that, feel free to drop a vandalism warning template on that user's talk page; see Wikipedia:Vandalism. Yeah, I realized what you did, and it was right. I just noticed that no-one had put a vandalism warning on the vandal user's talk page, so I thought I'd let you know what the procedure is. English varieties

Advice: English dialects on Wikipedia: Wikipedia has millions of readers; some use American English, or British English, or International English, or any of numerous other local forms from Australian English to Canadian English. Because of this, Wikipedia has a policy of respecting articles written in whatever form of English the original author of the article used.

The guidelines are simple. For subjects exclusively related to Australia (for example, an Australian film), use Australian English. For something related to the United States in the same way, use American English. If it is an international topic, use whatever form of English the original author used.

In view of that, please don't change articles from one version of English to the other, even if you don't normally use the version the article is written in. Respect other people's versions of English. They in turn should respect yours. Other general guidelines on how Wikipedia articles are written can be found in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. If you have any queries about all this, just ask anyone on Wikipedia and they will help you. Enjoy your time on the internet's fastest growing encyclopædia (or encyclopedia, if you write it that way!). Thank you.

Hi Lindsey. The golden rule for which variety of English to use in a particular article is consistency. Wolf Creek (film) is not only an Australian topic, but it was and is primarily written in Australian English. Thus, subsequent edits are expected to conform with this variety. VandalProof 1.2 Now Available

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. Baby and Otis Backstories

Milla Jovovich

Hi. I noticed that you added a Vogue magazine cover to the Milla Jovovich article. I think it only fair to warn you that Wikipedia has gotten very strict on the use of magazine covers of late and an administrator is likely to delete the image pretty quickly unless something is added to the article specifically addressing that issue. I guess under Wikipedia's fair use rules, magazine covers can only be used in articles specifically referencing the cover -- as in the magazine itself, not the subject of the cover. I've been seeing magazine images removed by the dozens -- even including fashion model articles. I've protested and at least one editor has quit the project completely in response. Hopefully you can add something to the article that'll give the scan a reason for being there under fair use. 23skidoo 23:51, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey. I'm assuming it was you who added the trivia about Troy's trap being shown on Spike TV (my watchlist said you were the last person to edit it). I just wanted to know if you saw it yourself or you just posted it because someone told you about it. I know it's difficult to get sources about TV listings but could you try please? I didn't know that (I'm new to Wiki editing). I just altered the Saw 3 page myself actually. One of the "Unknown Traps" happened to be the twisting crucifix, so I added a little detail on it here. -- ViperBlade ^Talk!! 09:15, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Custom Signature

Yeah, I'm pretty much addicted to it too. I've been using it daily for about 6 months now, but I only started editing pages about 2 weeks ago. Any idea how to make custom sigs appear by typing "~~~~" because for the moment I have to type "--{{User:ViperBlade/Sig}}"

Removing trivia

Hi, You rock! Thank you for removing the huge trivia section from Resident Evil: Apocalypse. I cut the plot summary down by 1/2 (removing scene-by-scene descriptions of minor characters shooting weapons, gun battles that are mainly there to have explosions, etc!) but I didn't have the guts to remove the entire Trivia section. I tried unsuccessfully to urge the creation of a policy against Trivia sections, in the Wikipedia rules pages, but no one took me up on it. Now that I see your gutsy removal of a huge trivia section, I see that I am not alone in my dislike of trivia sections.... The name says it all: "Trivia." At least it is truth in packaging./////WARNING...ANTI-TRIVIA RANT TO FOLLOW.....////// This is an online ENCYCLOPEDIA, not a collection of random, insignificant little details. It is supposed to give the "big picture." I have been so frustrated by articles with huge trivia sections. Even the "Anne Frank" (yes that Anne Frank, the one killed by the Nazis) article had a Trivia section....Nazamo 19:44, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

My Chemical News

Congratulations to Mikey and Alicia Way who got married backstage at the Las Vegas show in March!!

MCR has started the 3rd leg of their Black Parade tour. Their supporting act for this leg is Muse. The tour is currently scheduled to end in mid-May.

MCR's 4th single off The Black Parade, Teenagers, was pushed back. It will now be released May 1st.

Mikey will be taking time off the tour for a honeymoon. His replacement will be Matt Cortez. Cortez will play bass for the rest of the US and Canada shows.

It was recently confirmed by guitarist Ray Toro that MCR will headline the Projekt Revolution tour, along with Linkin Park, HIM, Saosin, and other yet to be announced bands.

Project News

The POV problem has ended at The Black Parade.

Teenagers was recently confirmed to be the 4th single off The Black Parade.

Orfen proposed a major revamping of the project which was carried out by multiple members of the project. For further news and information please visit the project talk page.

Member News

Moralis was recently nominated for adminship.
Cianjg joined the project.
