Cheltenham Town's 125th season as a football club saw them participate in League Two, the 4th tier of English football for the 3rd year in a row. The club spent much of the season between October and March inside the automatic promotion places, and even on the top of the table on occasion, however a run that saw them pick up only 2 points from a possible 21 throughout March condemned them to the playoffs, where they overcame Torquay United 4-1 on aggregate before a 0-2 loss to Crewe Alexandra at Wembley.
