New U-Tex Logo
[edit]Yes, while I was making something to eat (during half-time) I thought I would make a new WHITE background one (its under construction now). Would a new white-background be better? You can't like the current one with all the distortion and its tiny size. I fixed the Raiders typo, sometimes I type to fast. Don't tell everyone I misspelled, I removed it.

PS I recommend that you create an archive page. Your talk page is getting large and hard to edit. Pages that are to big start locking up and bombing. Espcially those of us on the old dial-up. When my talk page gets over 50 I try to archive back to 25-30, depending on date.
- OKAY the new WHITE one is up. Take a look. Poor Red Raiders :(
Kate, I don't think CyclePat got our drift. :) He basically reverted all of our copyedits. I'm going to revert his changes but I might need help again. We'll see. --Woohookitty 00:08, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
- I do wonder sometimes if part of our trouble here is that kids don't use real encyclopedias much anymore. I mean I'm not THAT old (I'm 31), but we had Britannica in our classrooms. I don't think they do that now and I do wonder if that's part of our problem. People don't know what goes into encyclopedias anymore. What do you think? --Woohookitty 00:22, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
Hello, Actually... I have "the book of knowlege" encyclopedia right in my basement. I will say again. The encyclopedia does have a copy of the entire US constitution as well as a facimile URtext. So what is the problem in incorperating the entire section of law.--CyclePat 23:20, 24 October 2005 (UTC)
The US Constitution is a special case. Generally, encyclopedias do not contain full laws. We're not backing down on this, Pat. --Woohookitty 06:06, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Catneeded
[edit]Actually it was once a real template, {{Catneeded}}, which was on TFD. So Tomer modified it. A lot of people without a sense of humour called it vandalism, and then someone moved it to {{Uncategorized}}...but I liked it and thought it was clever, so I modified it a little and added it to my user page. And it worked - Denelson83 added another cat. Guettarda 17:10, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit]....why I deliberately included the {{db-bio}} tag at User talk:165.82.172.159's page and that was so he/she could see exactly what the tag said, in case he/she hadn't actually comprehended what it was. Welcome back
[edit]Welcome back to WP:VIP. :) Jdavidb [[talk • contribs]] 23:18, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
Darn it, this is extremely frustrating. This page has been protected forever, stuck at a version that nobody particularly wants. It gets unprotected, I make some legitimate edits, the banned user comes back using two Sockpuppets, Curps reverts it to my edit, and then you revert it to the old version and reprotect it. I wish you admins would figure something out, because you are letting a banned user with his vandalbot prevent users who genuinely want to work on this page from getting anything done. -O^O
- Oh, ok, what do you know - I got my edits in! Hooray! - O^O
I'm not sure why you unblocked "Spruc" and "Cursp", there's no harm to a double block, especially if both are the same length (indefinite). -- Curps 19:24, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
When you unblock, it removes all blocks, so the user is free to edit. I don't think that's what you intended. When there are two blocks of unequal length, then all blocks are removed when the earliest block expires (so you often see admins unblock then reblock indefinitely). Double blocking isn't a problem to the best of my knowledge... the user can edit their talk page as before, but that's it. -- Curps 19:29, 28 October 2005 (UTC)
It's not really a solution. I'll consult David Gerard and maybe post to AN/I. -- Curps 19:32, 28 October 2005 (UTC)

Opened a RfC page on Ben
[edit]I need your help. I started a page on a RfC on Ben but other than the statement of the dispute, I'm stuck on where to go next. You've done many of these. I can do the diffs but maybe you can help me with the titles for the "Evidence of Disputed Behavior"? User:Woohookitty/Requests_for_Comment/Benjamin_Gatti is the link. I've reached the end of my patience with him and we have lots and lots of evidence to choose from. I know your plate is full so it's not a huge hurry if you have other things to do first. It's not like P-A is going to end anytime soon. But still. It's time. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 05:42, 30 October 2005 (UTC)
Thank you. You're the best. :) Yeah it's time. I was giving him leeway for a bit there because he seemed to be acting better but now we're back to these ridiculously POV edits that barely have a place on a blog much less here. Btw, I don't know if you saw the change I made but I moved it to my user page for now. Just follow the link above. I changed it. :) --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 05:50, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Hi, you probably should know that Ben has already "responded" on your draft RfC page and filed two RfCs of his own - possibly trying to scare you off. Simesa 04:13, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
- Simesa, it's unfair to attribute motive. I have no trouble holding up my end of this debate, schedule as many as you like, regardless of the format, I'll be there, Red tie, Makeup, and Aquanet. The facts are on my side. Benjamin Gatti
- All Ben is doing is digging his own grave. For one thing, he probably has no clue how to do RfCs. He put his own comments into "parties of the dispute", which is about against policy as possible. And now he apparently thinks the RfC is some sort of joke. Well let him. As Katefan and I learned on the BigDaddy777, people who don't take RfCs and RfAs seriously just hasten their departure. This isn't a joke. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 07:25, 31 October 2005 (UTC)
- I asked for the page to be speedied, so it was deleted. We'll have to do this another way. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 10:25, 1 November 2005 (UTC)
Good grief
[edit]How do you and I attract these really bad NPOV cases? I found another one. Moynihan_Commission_on_Government_Secrecy. It's POV as hell. I'm now battling a guy who thinks that because the commission report is being used, we need to use it verbatim, but he refuses to use quotation marks when quoting from it, so it sounds authoritative. Nobs01 is the user. You don't have to come help. I'm just getting going on this, but you're on call. lol Good grief. You should see the crap he's putting in.
"In late August or early September 1947, the Army Security Agency informed the FBI it had begun to break into Soviet espionage messages. Truman had never been told of the existence of the Venona project, and always insisted Republicans had trumped up the loyalty issue. The first fact is, that a significant Communist conspiracy was in place in Washington, New York, and Hollywood. President Truman was almost willfully obtuse as regards American Communism.[3] There were no Communists in Kansas City politics where he came from. Apart from intellectual circles in Manhattan, a few metropolitan centers elsewhere, and the labor movement, Communists were unknown. Truman has been criticized for putting domestic politics above American security."
Yeah, not POV at all. And again, he doesn't use quotes so it sounds authoritative. Why is this so hard for people to understand? I don't get it. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 18:33, 30 October 2005 (UTC)

Barbara and the SA
[edit]Hi. I fear that you are never going to be able to explain to Barbara about personal opinion and its place on article pages. She clearly has serious objections to the SA among other organizations and I have no doubt that it is right and proper for her to air these - just not in this encyclopaedia. If you have a look at the main SA article talk page you will see that this has been going on for a while: Barbara is determined to have her say and feels that Christians (everyone who disagrees with her is apparently a Christian) have to prove her wrong - this is apparently more important than the encyclopedia continuing to be an encyclopedia. Well done with that article deletion, but I do feel that you are going to have to watch, as this topic will re-occur. Good luck.
PS It would be no bad thing for a person of goodwill and neutrality to keep an eye on the SA page generally, anyway. It is always being pushed one way or another and although I used to keep an eye on it I no longer have the time, energy or anything much else ... sorry.
Thanks for reading, Gonegonegone 09:38, 3 November 2005 (UTC)
I've responed to you at Talk:John Kerry, thusly:
- Q: "Rex, do you have a reliable source that suggests that Kerry's wound was minor? If so you can cite it."
- A: Yes, it's a CBS report [2] (one of many similar out there) which directly quotes Kerry's "Sick Call Treatment Record". This "treatment record" is (as best as I have found from googling) the only contemporaneous record of the actual state of Kerry's injury/treatment.
- As my explaination at Talk:John Kerry#Another way of looking at "wound" makes clear, Kerry's treatment record consists of two short sentences of detail, provided by the eyewitness treatment tech who both saw the wound and filled out the form:
- "Shrapnel in left arm above elbow. Shrapnel removed and appl (sic) bacitracin dressing. Ret to Duty".
- That form does not contain the word "wound". However we can use the word wound based on it -if we make an inference- because the text on the form makes clear (without so stating it) that it was a wound which was being treated. Likewise, I feel that this form also makes clear -if we again draw an inference- (see Talk:John Kerry#Another way of looking at "wound") that it was a "minor wound" which was being treated.

210.11.188.30 vandalism
[edit]Hi,
Reason I didn't warn was because, had I been in the position to do so, I would have blocked the user; but I wasn't. I considered that "this" user had been warned previously....
Personally, I find it hard to judge if it's the same person or not; repeated vandalism and nothing else from a specific IP suggests (to me) that there is only one particular user who favours that computer *and* edits Wikipedia. Perhaps it's because I'm less experienced in this business than you; or perhaps I'm less inclined to give the benefit of the doubt :-)

Advice
[edit]Hi, Would appreciate your advice on the matter of User:SpLoT's contributions. Although he/she seems quite keen to contribute, they've got the wrong end of the stick when it comes to acronym disambigs.
Apart from the usual "contribute any expansions of an acronym" tendency (not the purpose of a disambig page unless they're likely to be confused with something else), this particular user has taken to linking the words in a name separately (check them out to see what I mean).
Should these entries be removed, fixed, or what?
Fourohfour 21:24, 5 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the advice; one other thing- should (for example), this entry (VMM) (A) be left with links to the individual concepts ("virtual memory" and "manager"), or (B) the link changed to "Virtual Memory Manager", or (C) the phrase "Virtual Memory Manager" bolded out, and a brief explanation given? - Thanks for the heads up. (the 3rr thingy) (the three reverts that I've done) Now I'm going to try and compare this though. Just as I canot forsee every rule and regulation that exist on the wikipedia I think it's ironic that there are so many rules and regulations that exist and are just as unforseeable for seemingly many people. (And when it becomes clearly exlplained, ironically it appears to not be acknowleged / responded to (ie.: the Ontario Moped Section in the article of motorized bicycle) (ie.: reference to our article on "motorized bicyle" vs electric bicycle) Again, ironically and unfortunetelly some of us just can't see all the rules and regulations governing over every aspect. Again, I hope we can come up with two seperate articles or a consensus. P.s.: I would hate to be removed from this "liberal" editing sceam of ours. --CyclePat 06:15, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

I have too much history with Rex to trust him for a second, which makes me think I should let others have at it for a while. If you're still working on the article, I do ask though that you watch carefully for instances where Rex tries to insert spin rather than remove it. Typo
[edit]This [4] was intended to fix what I counted as a typo, in that I missed it on my just prior edit. However, you seem to be growing hostile, as evidenced by "don't employ misleading edit summaries". You know that my ES's are typically most detailed, so I think you should ask me on my talk page before you bite. Also have you noticed that JamesMLane still has not answered my question regarding his intentions here? You do know that he is waiting patiently for a) me to slip on 3rr or b) me to get verbally nasty so as to c) get me booted or d) other editors to wear me out by doing reverts or e) reasonably nice others such as you to lose patience and get mad at me or stop editing Kerry yourself. The point at hand here is the 1st PH section debate could be resolved 100% today, if James would support either one of the versions that you, me and Johntex came up with. That he won't says more where the problem lies than anywhere else. Rex071404 216.153.214.94 22:44, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Reality Check
[edit]Please check my reality. On Current Events Nov 5 a writer wrote
- Gene Robinson, the first openly gay U.S. ordained Episcopalian bishop describes Pope Benedict XVI's response to the Roman Catholic sex abuse scandal by placing restrictions on gay clergy: "an act of violence that needs to be confronted." He delivered the speech at St Martin-in-the-Fields church, in Trafalgar Square. Robinson's appointment has contributed to an open schism in the Anglican Communion. YahooABC
and Mr Billion takes it off, I puts it back, he removes the discussion, I puts the discussion back and keep putting the writer's article back. In his discussion he somewhat mildly alludes to sockpuppetry stuff.
Anyway a google search on "robinson" + "bishop" + "pope" is 907,000 articles.
Really, I am not devoted to the article, but to the defense of the original writer's judgement that it was newsworthy. It certainly made the NYTimes and Washington Post. And I really do get uppity when folks just delete stuff others do without discussion, and then appear to erase any discussion against their editorial defenses. And really uppity when they attack writers personally, which is mildly done in discussion by him.
Gosh, it just seems like such a straightforward report and to draw so much attention to deleting it and discussing it, geez, maybe I need to go down to the beach...Kyle Andrew Brown 01:57, 11 November 2005 (UTC)

(For future reference I think I'll have to find a better place to invest my time)(got a good idea how the system works though). I assume my arguments are so often used that you can see right through the real and fake articles. (specially if I put (joke) beside it) Well cheers and thank you again. --CyclePat 07:11, 13 November 2005 (UTC)
Guess What?
[edit]I am getting terrorized tonight. User:Woohookitty/Vandals is the story. It's been 3 hours since this began and I'm still fighting it. I got Redwolf and CoolCat's help and got names starting with anon* blocked, but now we have impersonators of me. It's Rex. HAS to be. I blast him today...he posts on P-A and then suddenly this Anon* is posting there. And Rex stopped posting and they started around the same time. I let kizzle know as well. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 02:52, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- And get this! A vandal vandalised the vandals page I just created...and then it was speedy deleted by an admin. So I had to recreate and...PROTECT IT! :) God. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 03:04, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- You know, either that, or it's a coincidence--Erahyreyryy 03:10, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Well I posted what I originally had here on the JK page. I might be leaving the project. One foot is out the door. Dmc and Redwolf and kizzle are trying to comfort me, but I no longer have fun here. I haven't for awhile. It's become work. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 05:58, 14 November 2005 (UTC)

Rex071404
[edit]I've opened an arbcom case against Rex, and Woohookitty mentioned that I should notify you. You can leave a statement (even if you don't consider yourself a party) or add yourself as a party as well. Thanks. (PS, go say something nice to Woohoo, he told me he's leaving...:( Dmcdevit·t 06:46, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Thank you
[edit]Thank you for the award and the thoughts. But. I still might be leaving. I know you are busy with this arby case with Rangerdude, but any help with Rex would be appreciated. The rest I"m going to save for email (so read it :) ) because otherwise, Rex or Ben will hijack this somehow. I don't feel I like I can safely post my feelings on anything anymore. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 19:34, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for moving my award to my userpage. :) I cleaned it up a bit. Thanks. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 22:38, 15 November 2005 (UTC)
Rex's pre-made pages
[edit]User_talk:Rex071404/vf Look familiar? it's in the arbcom case already. IIRC James put it in the case. Definite violation of 3RR. Hell, if I did that, I'd be in violation and I have no arbcoms against me. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 20:02, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
- Probably want to make the JK folks aware of this. I would, but I'm trying to keep away from that article right now. I'm sure it'll be news to people since he just started doing this 4-5 days ago. --Woohookitty(cat scratches) 20:20, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
Re: med question
[edit]Hi Kate, nice to hear from you! I guess I'm not sure what to tell you (or if the dispute's still going on). I'd assume that bacitracin dressing involved a bandage of some sort although I am not familiar with what sort of impact the historical context might have. You may want to ask at the Doctors' mess; maybe they can help you more than I. — Knowledge Seeker দ 05:12, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
Phish
[edit]Thanks! I hope this will bring this to the discussion table. But sorry - I know it's a perpetual moan about protection being the Wrong Version, but in this case it's true. This is the latest actively edited consensus version. The version you protected is the old one that the nuisance user 70.144.89.89 (talk · contribs), who keeps destroying cleanup attempts under various aliases, constantly keeps reverting to. If you have any ideas how to handle this, it would be very welcome. Tearlach 01:57, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks again: got your message. It's not that we have a particular version in mind; it's that one user (or aliases) keeps reverting to the same past version however anyone edits the article. See any spot in the edit history where it says "revert disruption of cleanup" or similar: the prior edit is where this has happened. Tearlach 02:11, 17 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Haven't been around Wikipedia much recently (and hope to avoid further timesuckage so I probably won't have another extended time here) but saw that you were now an admin and wanted to say congrats. --Grouse 16:26, 17 November 2005 (UTC)
I HAD to give you this award
[edit]Page protection (Phish)
[edit]Thank you for protecting this article. I hope something positive comes out of it. I noticed that when you changed to the "right" version, the protected template somehow got removed. Would you put it back so that people who visit the page will be aware of what is going on? Thanks again. Psora 16:04, 18 November 2005 (UTC)

I put a cleanup tag on this article (I linked it into the Bulgarian-HIV trial article). Maybe it belongs in Wikitionary? Simesa 18:22, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Re: Phish Talk Page
[edit]First of all, let me apologize for my language. I for one am a huge proponent of making cursing fully acceptable in todays culture, so sometimes i forgot that others will take offensive to it, or see it as a "personal attack" which is certainly not its intention. But enought sentiments. So, in regards to your message you left me; There is nothing about "Trey Being Wasted" in the Phish article, so i recommend that you actually read the article before critizing people. Secondly, please dont critize or threaten me for my opinions, which is one of the points of the talk page, as you freely allow yourself say yours "He wasn't wasted. He was depressed about the state of the band." Thirdly, i dont even know if you like phish, but im guessing you have some interest in them or listen to them. I, however, have a huge interest in them, and have been a major proponent in organizing the revampting this article. So, in conclusion, i realize that you are an administrator and i praise you for the work and time you put into wikipedia, however, holding that position does not give you the right to intimidate others by threats of expulsion, nor does it give you immortality on wikipedia. Thanks.--Gephart 20:02, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for the message! I am glad we could get it settled, i dont like grudges. I hope that i can use you as a reference (being an admin) in the future.--Gephart 21:51, 20 November 2005 (UTC)
Spammer vandal: 70.121.9.98
[edit]Hi, as I know you are an admin, I wondered if you could do something about this user. It's clearly the same person/people using it for the exact same purpose each time; I've reported this user twice on vandalism in progress, and nothing has happened.
If it should have been reported elsewhere, I wish someone would have told me. But anyway, this seems like a fairly open-and-shut case; they've been final-warned, and have continued regardless. I don't intend warning them again; it's clear that they're simply spammers, and making toothless threats about a ban isn't going to make a bit of difference.
Fourohfour 10:39, 21 November 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the block. They tend to come back at roughly weekly intervals, so they'll probably encounter it next time. Anyhow, I haven't noticed them posting from any other address (at least not to those pages or anything similar); which implies that this is (to all intents and purposes) their permanent address and not lent out to anyone else. Ji Guang
[edit]Hi, about article Ji Guang and the speedy deletion tag that I put on it yesterday. I am happy to be proved wrong, and that the page should be kept, but I did not manage to find a single reference to this name. In the meantime, I have added an expand tag, and rewrote the short sentence in more correct English, but if you know anything about the topic (if only the fact that it is a mystical beast), do you mind adding it to the article so that it looks less poor ? Schutz 08:06, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- Ok, here is what I'll do. I'll follow your suggestion and will mention the article on Talk:Chinese Mythology. If we don't get anyone to add anything to it, I will then propose it for (normal) deletion. In any case, I'll keep an eye on it. Thanks, Schutz 22:21, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
- Done. Schutz 22:52, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
On Narcissism
[edit]I would like to apologise for tagging On Narcissism with a speedy, as I did not realise it was an actual book by Sigmund Freud; it seemed like it could be, but the writing style of the article-creator seemed to imply he was fabricating it as a music single. Thank you for clearing the facts up. -- Daverocks 09:56, 22 November 2005 (UTC)

Persistent vandal
[edit]Hi again; here's another vandal begging to be blocked:- user:162.78.70.217. Either it's the same person on each occasion, or they're all vandals; at either rate, I can't find a single valid contribution there.
Oh, and please let me know of any other admins happy to deal with this sort of nonsense, as it'll probably get tedious if I have to ask you every time :) "Vandalism in progress" doesn't seem to get that much attention, unfortunately. Thanks. Fourohfour 12:02, 24 November 2005 (UTC)
Plymouth-Canton Educational Park edit war
[edit]So 128.174.114.3 added the sentence again. Am I allowed to revert it? I'm going to leave a note on the talkpage, but I'm wondering if I'd be violating the 3RR again by reverting it again. --67.149.77.77 16:24, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
Texas collaboration
[edit]Is it just me or with the disappearance of Shem have our Texas collaboration efforts stalled? -JCarriker 18:21, 25 November 2005 (UTC)
- When Hatsepsut is finally featured I plan on working to make East Texas a successful FAC. Other than that I just stumbled across the Portuguese artice on Harrison County. I think it would be cool if we could amend and adopt their county infbox of en. What do you think? -JCarriker 09:02, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Hello? See above -JCarriker 21:24, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- When I was a younger wikipedian I text dumped translations of the lead of the Marshall, Texas article into several languages. Most of the wikis appreciated the clumsy effort and cleaned them up, but the Hungarian and Greek wikipedias evetually deleted them, so I check every once in a while to see if which ones still exist or have been improved. If the Arabic Wikipedia could make use of my shoody translations I don't see why Hunagarian and Greek couldn't do the same, but enough rambling. Since Shem seems to have left wikipedia, why don't we pick "loosely administer"ing the page? Maybe if two people do it we can break the cycle of inactity, since even if one of us falls out of sight there would still be another one. (Also check out the Collab's new shortcut WP:TCM) -JCarriker 21:54, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit]You just froze the Fuller Torrey article after a mindfreedom.org activist edited it with three bizarre POV edits. Why on earth would you do that? Are you taking the antipsychiatry side of this debate? --24.55.228.56 03:18, 28 November 2005 (UTC)

Newmont Mining
[edit]Hey there. I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for helping out with mediation over at Newmont Mining Corporation. I was away for Thanksgiving so I have become a little detached from your efforts to discuss changes to that article with User:Jentry. From glancing at the article's talk page, it seems that most of the changes proposed for the environmental controversy section are purely syntactical. Furthermore, the last time anyone mentioned more changes for the article was on November 24th, a couple days ago. I am wondering at this point what direction to take. Of course I am never against reworking the section for NPOV, or even pruning it for important points, but red-flags go up in my mind when I see users trying to paste PR propaganda into Wikipedia. Let me know where to go. Thanks again. --Howrealisreal 16:00, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
- Okay I have responded at the article's talk page. I just want to point out that I think we are dealing with someone from Newmont who is on PR damage control. The scientific reports that user has presented are distrubuted by a front website for Newmont Mining Corporation, and of course will favorable view the mining activities that took place in Indonesia, despite the fact that some of them are considered illegal in the United States. --Howrealisreal 01:22, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Hi Katefan, the edit war going on on this page is over a picture of Gabby and another Yorkie. Consensus was reached that the other picture of the Yorkie should be kept as Gabby isn't a real good representation of the breed. (Personally I don't think either is a real good representation but think the other Yorkie is the better of the two.) Elf put Gabby's picture in a gallery down towards the bottom of the page but the anon. user still reverts it back and puts the picture of Gabby up at the top. It's been going on for quite some time and the page was protected for a short time but once the protection was lifted, it started back again. Hope this helps. Maltmomma 23:21, 29 November 2005 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Jimcosta.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Jimcosta.jpg. I notice the image page currently doesn't specify who created the image, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created the image yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the image on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the image yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the image also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture then you can use {{GFDL}} to release it under the GFDL. If you can claim fair use use {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or {{fairuse}}. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other images, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of image pages you have edited by going to "Your contributions" from your user page and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks so much. --Agnte 12:44, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Hi -- Thanks for the nice note :-) Rjensen actually seems quite knowledgeable, and I think it's a big plus to get a fresh take on things. The post-1900 part of the article was kind of skimpy anyway, and it's true that the article's main references were not that recent. I just hope I can prod him/her into footnoting properly, and toning down the POV a little.--Bcrowell 04:36, 1 December 2005 (UTC)

- Actually I'm a Trini, not a Brit, and I'm more of a Spartan than a Sooner...but OU pays my salary, so I owe them at least a little loyalty. Not that I'm all that interested in American football...but it was cool to finally be associated with a winning team last year. After my years at MSU, losing to your arch-rivals is the norm, as is sucking at football in general. Now basketball is another story...though in reality, there is only one sport - cricket, glorious cricket! Guettarda 05:04, 2 December 2005 (UTC)
