Harry Kanchoo Thurman, Jr. is an American born, black male. He was born to Harry and Odessa (Sanders) Thurman in Tacoma, Washington and has eleven siblings, Clifford, Larry (deceased), Michael, Sandra, Bobbette (deceased) (Mahasin), Rhoda, Keith, Kathy (deceased), Sunday, Paul and Peter. He was married to Betty Ann (Blocker) and they have four sons, Calvin, Harry, Michael and Travis. He has four grandsons and two granddaughters. He is a U.S. Army veteran (1972 - 1992) and was honorably discharged from the service in January 1992. His post occupations have included by not limited to the U.S. Postal Service, Transportation Security Administration and Walmart. His post high school education involved North Seattle Community College, Tacoma Community College and Edmonds Community College, where he is presently in pursuit of an Associates Degree in Alcohol and Chemical Dependency Counseling.
