From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The purpose of this user page is to work on collecting diffs to make an argument to the Wikipedia community to put a stop to User:Born2cycle's tenditious editing of Wikipedia.

User:Philip Baird Shearer has been disrupting Wikipedia for over two months now by insisting that lines in the Wikipedia Naming Conventions policy are not in that policy. It is time to stop playing games with him. As long as the lines are in the policy and it is his contention that they are not, the discussion is absurd, and it is not even a discussion.

I ask concerned editors to post diffs, with quotes, from this user's continued tenditious, pointy edits describing his over two month cycle of trying to convince other editors that what's there isn't there, and disrupting plant article editing all the while.

If he disagreed with the existing policy, it would be one thing. That is not the case. User:PBS insists the existing policy isn't the existing policy, or that it doesn't contain what's there. He is not here to discuss policy at this point in time of spending this long doing this. His repeated non-consensus edits to policy page, and his repeated and continued one-sided discussion about a different policy (the one he contends exists) versus the actually policy (the one that exists) is merely meant to disrupt flora editors from creating, editing, and maintaining articles.

Wikipedia naming conventions specifically lists Wikipedia flora naming conventions. User:PBS denies that it does so.[1]

... What I have suggested is that the flora guideline is in breach of the WP:NC policy and that the emphasis should be turned around to use the most commonly used name with exceptions, rather than use the scientific name with exceptions (see my last edit to the flora guideline talk page). --PBS (talk) 19:39, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

(Emphasis added.) In this quote above, User:PBS specifically mentions that the WP flora guideline, which is specifically mentioned in and linked to the policy he quotes, is in breach of the policy it is mentioned in. This does not even make sense. What also does not sense is allowing him to continue this for another two months.

Please provide diffs here, please quote and bold specifics, and please add dates so it is clear how long this has been going on. --KP Botany (talk) 03:24, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
