Gopal Lal Jandu (born 19 October 1969) is an Indian politician serving as the 21th President of Block Congress Committee since 2010. He held this position from July 2010 to September 2018.He represents Member of Sambhar Panchayat Samiti of Phulera Constituency (044), Jaipur, Rajasthan from 2005 to 2010.
Personal life[edit]
Gopal Lal Jandu is the son of Suwa Lal Jandu, a farmer who used to travel around the country to see the conditions of farmers. He belongs to Jat caste. He is a member of the Indian National Congress (INC) party. He was influenced by the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi at a very young age and was actively engaged in social political work. He eats before sunset and is a pure vegetarian and enjoys Satvik Meals. He is also a teetotaler.
Political career[edit]
He contested his first election for Sambhar Lake Panchayat Samiti in 2005 from Panchayat Samiti Ward No. 5 and Win by a margin of 638 votes to his closest opponent Mahadev Bana of the Bhartiya Janata Party. In 2010 he was appointed as the President of Block Congress Committee.
