David Aduratomi Noiki (born 28 June 1996)," better known by his stage name Dawie (DawieOnThis1)[1], is a Nigerian record producer, songwriter, mixing engineer, and musician. He hails from Ogun State but found his musical roots in the bustling city of Lagos, Nigeria.

He is popularly known for the tag “Dawieonthis1” at the beginning and "Easy ooooo" at the end of all his music productions.

After church services as a child, I used to enthusiastically play the drums, feeling like it was something I naturally excelled at, Dawieonthis1 revealed[2].

MUSICAL CAREER

[edit]

Having started his career in the banking industry, Dawieonthis1 decided to leave in 2018 to pursue music, trading stability, and a steady paycheck for uncertainty[3]. His achievements so far indicate that it was a risk worth taking.

During his transition while still working at the bank, there was a moment that stood out to him. This epiphany led him to the realization that dedicating himself to something he genuinely loved was his ultimate goal, something he had always envisioned[4].

With over nine years of experience in the industry, Dawieonthis1 has transitioned from working behind the scenes to taking center stage[5]. He firmly believes in embracing new ideas and influences, absorbing various musical styles, and reimagining them with a contemporary flair to produce a distinctive and innovative sound. His versatility has drawn him to explore a range of genres, including Hip-hop, Afrobeats, Highlife, Soukous, Praise and Worship, and Country music on different occasions. By seamlessly blending these genres, he has achieved impressive digital streaming figures through his collaborations with well-known artists, showcasing his skill and commitment. Whether producing singles and albums for up-and-coming musicians or creating music for commercials and jingles, Dawieonthis1's portfolio demonstrates his adaptability and originality.

Dawie received significant attention from renowned media outlets due to the success of Ogechi[6] and its remix. He had the opportunity to analyze the Beat Breakdown Of ‘Ogechi’ (Brown Joel, BoyPee & Hyce) alongside Savant[7]. Additionally, he achieved the No. 6 position on Turntable Charts official Top 100 Producers[8] list and was featured in Producer Spotlight with Hot News Afro[9] and Spotlight with RADARCharts[10].

He has produced tracks for Jeriq, Runda, Lyta, Tepidz, Damo K, Kabex amongst others and is currently signed to Azuri Music.

WORK

[edit]
