Immune tolerance[edit]

[edit]

The immune system plays a vital role in immunotherapy. Illnesses and infections that are caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, or parasites are defended off by the immune system . The immune system can also be called the immune response due to the collections of reactions and responses that the body makes to damaged cells or infections. The two main parts of the immune system is the innate immune system and acquired immune system. The innate immune system fight harmful substances and germs that enter the body while the acquired immune system makes antibodies and uses them to specifically fight certain germs that the body has previously came into contact with .
