User:Jgwang/SPAIR short scar technique

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

SPAIR short scar technique is a one-of-a-kind technique developed by Dr. Dennis C. Hammond that reduces scarring after any breast reduction operation. The technique keeps the natural curves of the breast by removing tissue around the nipple and the areola. Before this procedure was created, breast reduction surgery produced a long scar from the underside of the breast from the lateral chest wall over to the mid-portion of the sternum and another scar along the center of the breast. With the SPAIR short scar technique, there is one scar instead of two and the recovery time is faster than before.
