Biography[modifier le wikicode] He was born April 22, 1961 in Auch in the Gers. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the European Order mentalists. In 2016, he published the book Introduction au mentalisme, à l'hypnose et à la mnémotechnie. He wrote biographies of writers and articles on hypnosis and mentalism and directed a blog dealing in part with the theory and practice of mentalism.

Career[modifier le wikicode] Jean-François Gérault in 1994 joined the editorial team of the Year of fiction (polar, S. F., fantastic, espionage) for inking editions.

In 1999 and 2000 he translated two fantasy novels of Wolfgang Hohlbein, The Magus of Salem and Legacy of the night.

It is then published in 2000 by Editions Inking / Les Belles Lettres a study of Jean-Patrick Cuff called Jean-Patrick Manchette, a work path. This book won the prize Maurice Renault 2001 French association 813. Various newspapers and even strangers realize this first cuff biography.

In 2003 he wrote, again to Inking / Editions Les Belles Lettres, a book on the Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges Jorge Luis Borges, another literature.

Later, Jean-François Gérault for Shores editions translated from Spanish, from 2005 to 2010, three books of the Argentine writer of crime novels Raúl Argemí: Le Gros, the French and the mouse, The Dead still lose their Patagonia shoes and choo-choo.

Since 1981, Jean-François Gérault practice hypnosis and mentalism at private parties. He writes articles about mentalism in two journals on the subject: Magic letter of Mental Arts Association and The Journal of prestidigitation.

In 2012, he got his technical certificate in Ericksonian hypnosis at the French Institute of humanistic and Ericksonian hypnosis. He then trained in street hypnosis with the Ark Hypnosis Institute in 2014 under the supervision of Bertrand Millet, master practitioner of hypnosis.
