The 2nd Choir Olympics was the second instance of the international choir competition, organised by the Interkultur Foundation, that would later become known as the World Choir Games.[1] The competition took place in Busan, South Korea, and featured 288 participating choirs from 48 countries.

Contest[edit]

The 2nd Choir Olympics took place from 19 to 27 October 2002.[2] More than 15,000 choral singers from 48 countries gathered in Busan, South Korea for the second edition of the Choir Olympics. The competition was held over a total of 324 performances in 25 categories. At the conclusion of the event the international jury - consisting of 51 jurors - presented 54 gold, 102 silver, and 38 bronze medals to the participating choirs.[3]
