that's SHANGHAI is a prominent entertainment and listing magazine published in Shanghai, famously known for its high standard of copy-editing and broad range of articles. The magazine is a monthly publication, written in English.

Initially the company utilized minimal staff and numerous freelance writers. The companies continued expansion is highlighted by the employee numbers and publication distribution; in 2002 employee numbers were identified at 30 with the magazine attaining a consistent circulation of 35,000,[1] currently in 2010 the company employs a staff of 45 and has a continuous circulation of 60,000.

The company has significantly diversified it's range of products, utilizing it's umbrella brand; URBANATOMY[2] to add yearly publications and online content to its range. These include Family Guides to Shanghai[3] and more general backpackers guides to the vibrant city.[4] In line with the 2010 China Shanghai Expo, URBANATOMY is publishing a helpers guide to aid visitors to the event.[5] The company also boasts the most popular podcast based in Shanghai.[6] (See below)

URBANATOMY currently produces a sister magazine, corresponding with the style and print layout of that's SHANGHAI. that's PRD (Pearl River Delta), covering Guangzhou & Shenzhen, caters towards a similar demographic albeit towards a different geographical location.

Yearly publications are now a common theme, each year a Family Guide to Shanghai is produced in addition to a more universal guide to the city; 'Shanghai 2009'.[7]
