Izzy Whitney

Izzy Whitney (born August 5, 1996) is a musician, DJ, writer, artist, and graphic designer from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. She currently sings and writes music for Opaque, an alternative band, with her sister Tatiana Major and brother Gabriel Canham.

Biography

Izzy Whitney was born on a stormy August night, around midnight, in the Martha's Vineyard Oak Bluffs Hospital. She began growing up with her mother, and moved in with her father when she was seven. Since then, she had been moving back and forth, and is currently living with her mother. She just graduated eighth grade on June 18, and may be attending Proctor Academy in New Hampshire in September. All throughout her life, she has been writing songs and painting, and since she was 11 she has been pulling together songs she has written. Izzy plays saxophone and was recently self-taught on piano. She has a creative and imaginative mind that lets her come up with hundreds of ideas for new stories every day for her books. Unfortunately, she deletes most of her work, unsatisfied with them. She currently is working on a story about a girl who comes back to life every time she dies, and stays one age: 17. The story is about the girl, named Lykke, who has help from past-life associates William, Troy, and Rondo, who share her immortality gift, to unravel her long history (going back hundreds of years) and why she is the way she is.
