Kally's Mashup: A Very Kally's Birthday! (Kally's Mashup ¡Un Cumpleaños Muy Kally! in spanish) is the brand new movie based on Nickelodeon Latin America television series Kally's Mashup. It is the first latin american film based on one of the channel's original productions, it's directed by Jorge Navas, and was screenplayed by Peter Barsocchini y Adam Anders. It is carried out by an Argentine, Colombian and Mexican cast divided between its original cast; Maia Reficco, Alex Hoyer, Saraí Meza, Celeste Sanazi, Tom CL, and its new members Johann Vera, Danielle Arciniegas and Carolina Ribon. It will premiere on July 30, 2021 and will be distributed by Nickelodeon Latin America and Paramount+.
Plot
[edit]Kally (Maia Reficco) undertakes a crazy trip to Colombia days before her birthday to play on the next catwalk of a famous designer in the country.
While she is having the best time of her life, the problems begin when Kally meets the latest pop icon Storm (Johann Vera), a star who not only successful and has everything, but is also seductive.
Dante (Alex Hoyer), her great love, is not willing to lose her so easily. With his sister's help, Tina (Saraí Meza), and his friends, Kevin (Tom CL) and Stefi (Celeste Sanazi) will undertake a big adventure.
Kally must decide what to do with her career and her heart.[1]
According to the spoilers released by Nickelodeon, Kally releases a new song the day before her birthday and ends up being recognized by a great stylist from Colombia and will need to travel to the country to sing in her fashion show.
Production
[edit]Filming of the movie began on March 29, 2021[2][3] in Bogotá, Colombia and ended on April 21, 2021[4]. It was produced by Viacom International Studios, Anders Media Inc., 360Powwow and Laberinto.
The production has the fiscal incentive of the FFC program (Colombia Film Fund, Fondo Fílmico Colombia in spanish) promoted by the Government of Colombia[5] and will be distributed by Nickelodeon Latin America and the streaming service Paramount+.
It will premiere on July 30, 2021 through Nickelodeon Latin America and will b available on Paramount+. [6][7]
Cast
[edit]- Maia Reficco como Kally Ponce, la joven con un talento natural para la música, le gusta la música clásica tanto como la música pop y era @Mica635, ahora es Kally.
- Alex Hoyer como Dante Barkin, el líder de la banda DAK. Es el novio de Kally y es el hermano mayor de Tina y el mejor amigo de Kevin.
- Saraí Meza como Tina Barkin, la hermana menor de Dante y la mejor amiga de Kally.
- Celeste Sanazi como Stefi, una joven talentosa en el violín, es la amiga de Kally, Tina y Dante. Es miembro de las "Gloriosas" junto con Gloria que no sale en la película.
- Tom CL como Kevin, el mejor amigo de Dante y el hermano de Alex que no sale en la película. Es parte de la banda DAK junto con Dante.
- Johann Vera como Storm, una estrella pop y seductor del momento en Colombia y se enamora de Kally, al igual que ella.
- Danielle Arciniegas como Wintir
- Carolina Ribón como Lisa
Music
[edit]Al igual que en las dos temporadas de la serie, la película cuenta con Adam Anders como productor musical ejecutivo supervisando la banda sonora, la cual se estrena 29 de julio de 2021.[7]
