The Toronto bid for the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics was an unsuccessful campaign to host the Games of the XXIX Olympiad and the XIII Paralympic Games, respectively.[1] The bidding race was eventually won by the Beijing 2008 bid after a 56-22 vote of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on July 13, 2001.[2]
