KnowBe4 is a information security awareness company based in Clearwater, Florida. It provides security awareness training to its customer organizations, of which it had 60,000 as of May 2024. It was founded in 2010 by Stu Sjouwerman, who remains its CEO as of 2024. Prominent cybersecurity expert Kevin Mitnick was the company's Chief Hacking Officer and partial owner prior to his death in 2023.[1]

In 2024, KnowBe4 acquired the British cloud email security company Egress Software.[2] Also in 2024, the company received considerable media attention when it disclosed that it had unknowingly hired a North Korean hacker who had impersonated an American citizen whose identity had been stolen.[3][4][5]
