Judy Darlene Wood is an American mechanical engineer and former assistant professor of mechanical engineering at Clemson University, a position she held from 1999 to 2006. She is also a member of the Society for Experimental Mechanics. She received her B.S. (1981), M.S. (1983), and Ph.D. (1992) from Virginia Tech. She is known for advocating for 9/11 conspiracy theories. She has claimed that her request for tenure at Clemson was denied in 2005 because of her support for such theories, but the former chair of her department has denied that this was a factor in this decision.
