Empress Dowager Yang (皇太后楊; d. 1279), personal name, Juliang (巨良) was the consort of Emperor Duzong and the mother of Emperor Duanzong.
Because Empress Dowager Quan surrendered to the Mongols along with Emperor Gongzong, there was no Dowager to handle the state affairs, so the remaining loyalists turned to Consort Yang and appointed her Empress Dowager as she was the mother of Emperor Duanzong.
In 1279, after hearing that the Song lost the Battle of Yamen, she lost hope and committed suicide.[1]
